75th Anniversary Celebration Dr. Deborah Turner, National President, League of Women Voters to Speak

The public is invited to attend the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham, and Chatham Counties (LWVODC) on September 15th.  In honor of this important milestone, Dr. Deborah Turner, the 20th president of the League of Women Voters of the United States, will be our keynote speaker.

Dr. Turner will speak about this moment in democracy in our country and the importance of the League, the public, and other organizations during this time. She will speak at 7 p.m. at the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History on UNC campus, located at 150 South Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.

Please join us and other organizations in showing solidarity for democratic principles at this critical time in our nation’s history. 

This program is free and open to the public, free parking is available at the adjacent Bell Tower Parking Deck 5-9 p.m.;  registration is required:  Register Here
