Adapted Play: Sensory-Friendly Nights
This free monthly program is specifically for children with neurodivergent needs, (such as developmental disabilities). Siblings and other family members are encouraged to attend and participate as well. Sensory-Friendly Nights offer the chance to explore the Museum without the noise, large crowds and stimulation of the typical museum visit. We limit the number of families who can attend and provide sanitized adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones, timers, fidget toys and visual schedules.
With a focus on arts and STEM education, child health and wellness, emerging language and literacy and environmental sustainability and stewardship, Kidzu Children’s Museum inspires children and the adults in their lives to learn through creative, purposeful play.
