Alcohol Ink Basics with Amy Elmore: Straws and Compressed Air

Alcohol inks are fast-drying, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that are great to use on any hard, non-porous surface including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, yupo paper, leather and polymer clay. Once the ink is applied, the alcohol evaporates, leaving the dye behind.
This workshop will focus on using a brush, straws and compressed air to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art. We will explore layering to create depth in your artwork by using different inks and techniques. These projects do not require previous art experience and will help you get your creative juices flowing, loosen up and make unique and beautiful artwork.
At the end of the session, you’ll bring home two completed 5×7 artworks on yupo paper, some new skills and hopefully a new kind of art to do at home.
For adults and mature teens.
