Ancient Wisdom Discussion Group with UNC Philosophy

This is a free opportunity open to older adults in North Carolina. The UNC Philosophy Department is hosting the second annual Ancient Wisdom discussion group: a study of what ancient philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, Cicero, and Augustine can offer us today. Topics will include the nature of reality, political life, the fear of death, human happiness, and more. All readings will be provided in advance, with ample opportunity for learning and discussion during each session. The group will be facilitated by Dr. Michael Vazquez, along with other philosophers at UNC-Chapel Hill.
