Virtual Stroll for Kids’ Sake

What is Stroll for Kids’ Sake?

Stroll for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle’s newest fundraiser. Hundreds of people across the Triangle will raise money to support BBBBT as we change how children grow up! Then, on July 11, 2020 teams will get together virtually or as a small group and stroll as a team.  Stroll for Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community – it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success.

No training is required, but your team can set fundraising and also fitness goals with this event.  This is a great way to get outside with friends and co-workers near and far.  We always encourage a theme and this year please join us in your 70’s gear to celebrate our “Disco” theme!

Who can participate?

Everyone! Stroll for Kids’ Sake is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Individuals and groups representing companies, schools, clubs, professional and civic organizations all create teams and participate in Stroll for Kids’ Sake.   We just have fun and fellowship, knowing that we are helping children across the Triangle just by our participation.

How do funds I raise make an impact?

During the COVID-10 pandemic and beyond, vulnerable children and families are facing increased anxiety, stress, fear and worry.  The young people we serve are likely to bear the heaviest burdens of trauma and economic fallout. BBBST took immediate action and continues to maintain and support the vital, life-changing mentoring relationships we facilitate and professionally support in order to prevent social isolation of our young people and families.  All funds raised through Stroll for Kids’ Sake will go directly to providing support to current matches and families and providing more local children with mentoring relationships that are proven to help them succeed in school, avoid harmful behaviors, and reach their full potential
