events – Old Lystra Inn tour
Old Lystra Inn hosts a free open house on Sunday to showcase its wedding venue.


Whitney Livestream
In lieu of canceled performances at Cat’s Cradle, the local music venue goes live with a virtual performance by band Whitney at 8pm. Proceeds benefit Black Lives Matter and My Block, My Hood, My City. The event is $20, and tickets can be purchased online.


Virtual Lunch With Friends and Strangers: Matt Andrews ’08 (Ph.D.)
Matthew Andrews, a UNC graduate and American historian with an interest in sports history and culture, will discuss basketball star Michael Jordan from noon-12:30pm. Register on the UNC General Alumni Association website. 


Free Outdoor Bootcamp 
Eat The Frog Fitness hosts a free outdoor bootcamp from 9-10 am at the Community Park at 120 S. Estes Dr. Instructors will lead a workout that tones, sculpts, increases cardio, builds muscle and improves energy levels. Participants can register on the Eat The Frog Fitness (Chapel Hill) Facebook page. 

Coffee Tasting Around the World
Carrboro Coffee Roasters hosts an in-person opportunity from 11am-1pm to taste coffee from around the world at its 101 S. Greensboro St. location. Experts will discuss how climate, culture and the marketplace affect coffee. Tickets are $30, email info@carborocoffee.com for more information.

Boss Women Elite Networking 
This free virtual event at 11am features female entrepreneurs, authors, speakers, coaches and creatives. Along with connecting to other women, the event will outline tips for how to start successful female-led businesses. The free event, hosted by publishing strategist Sharlrita DeLoatch, will be held through the Meetaway platform; participants can register online.  


Old Lystra Inn Open House
Old Lystra Inn hosts a free open house at 1164 Old Lystra Rd. from 2pm-6pm to showcase its wedding venue to couples. Tours will be open to one-two couples at a time, and masks are encouraged.
