ADOPTED – Apollo

ApolloWe all know that the attention-seeking dogs stand out first in a shelter environment, pawing at the glass and melting the hearts of visitors. But sometimes, the dogs you should be taking a second look at are the ones not competing for your attention! If a dog can be calm and well behaved in a chaotic shelter, chances are that dog can succeed anywhere easily! Apollo is one such lovely boy. This Rottweiler is around a year old and came in as a stray. He came in with another dog that’s already been adopted, but he’s still waiting for the lucky person that will take him home forever. This cutie is small for his breed, but shares the characteristic traits that rottie owners love. He’s loyal, smart, handsome and eager to please. He even knows several tricks already! Since he came in with a buddy, he will likely do well as a second dog, and may even enjoy having a pal again! But that certainly isn’t a requirement, since he’s proven adaptable enough to fit in just about anywhere happily. And since October is Dog Adoption Month, his adoption fee is only $60!

The adoption fee for Dogs & Puppies includes the following services: spaying/neutering, deworming, vaccinations and heartworm testing.

Thanks to our sponsors, new owners of each adopted featured pet will receive a $25 gift card to Piedmont Feed & Garden Center, a pet pillow from Sew Fine II and a complimentary exam at Park Veterinary Hospital (within three days of adoption date).
