Katie Schanze

Katie Schanze is an intern for Chapel Hill Magazine. Born and raised in Durham, she attended Appalachian State for her B.A. in English and is now working on her master’s at UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She’s traveled to 28 states and six countries, and is always on a mission to add to the count. She currently lives in Carrboro with her dog, Rudi. A self-described chocaholic, on weekend mornings you’ll probably find her at Cocoa Cinnamon in Durham.
