The staff at Chapel Hill Magazine are all over town, finding out the latest and greatest things you should probably know about. Here’s our list:
Tennis Tournaments
Jenny checked out the UNC Men’s Tennis team as they dominated Georgetown and North Carolina A&T in a double header. And Andrea caught a lot of the action at the Chapel Hill Tennis Club Indoor Tournament on Saturday.
Adorable Sweaters at Red Hen
Andrea found a couple of adorable sweaters for her niece at Red Hen.
Front Rows at Silverspot
Sunday’s wintry mix made it the perfect day to catch an early movie. Once you sit in the front row (with ottomans!) at Silverspot, there is no going back.
Duck Bolognese at Crossroads Chapel Hill
If you haven’t checked out the Carolina Inn‘s restaurant since its relaunch, what are you waiting for? Andrea highly recommends the duck bolognese.
Nobel Prize winner Aziz Sancar was honored last weekend at the Carolina Hurricanes game.
For her first Local 506 concert, Jessica saw metal band 1349 and thank goodness she brought earplugs! (Thankfully the bar/music venue sells them in case you ever need a pair.)
Maple View Ice Cream
After shopping at University Place, Andrea worked up quite an appetite. She headed to the Maple View kiosk for two scoops of black cherry.
Carolina Brewery Beers
Want some variety in your beer selection? Jenny loved seeing all the brews on hand at Carolina Brewery.
Cheeseheads in Chapel Hill
Who knew there were so many Green Bay Packers fans in Chapel Hill! Jenny got to catch the Packers v. Cardinals games with them at Four Corners Grille on Franklin Street.
Pumpkin Beer at the Root Cellar
The Root Cellar’s got way more than just made-from-scratch sandwiches! Jessica spotted a pumpkin stout beer she just had to try while waiting for her lunch.
