PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro, a volunteer organization that distributes food to hundreds of at-risk families in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, crossed the $2 million mark in donations for hunger relief this February. Founder Susan Romaine, Chapel Hill Town Council member Karen Stegman, Carrboro Mayor Pro Tem Damon Seils and volunteer Michael Smith spoke at the celebration, which occurred during the organization’s monthly food sorting at St. Thomas More Church.
