SKJAJA fundraises for local children at Beach Shack Boil

The SKJAJA Fund threw their Beach Shack Boil fundraiser at The Rickhouse, where guests enjoyed Lowcountry shrimp boil, beer, wine, sweet tea and, of course, dessert. The Lester Fricks band gave an outstanding performance while guests mingled and enjoyed the food. Many attendees were SKJAJA volunteers; at the celebration, SKJAJA founder Charlotte White announced Susan Roth as the winner of the Volunteer of the Year award. The event raised over $25,000 to give local children in lower income housing the ability to participate in music programs, athletics and other educational enrichment activities.
