S’mores on the Farm with Goats
Come out to Spring Haven Farms to enjoy s’mores between bouts of cuddling with goats, cows and other animals. Guests must register for a time slot online between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Thursday-Friday 

Guided Tour: ‘Buddha and Shiva, Lotus and Dragon’
Take a 30-minute, guided tour of the Ackland Art Museum’s current exhibition, “Buddha and Shiva, Lotus and Dragon: Masterworks from the Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller 3rd Collection at Asia Society.” This is the last weekend to view nearly 70 works of art that illuminate the impact of Buddhism and Hinduism. This event is free, but registration is required for the tour, which takes place from 1:30-2 p.m. on both days. 

Friday-Saturday

Project Feeder Watch
Meet experienced birders from the New Hope Audubon Society at the Chapel Hill Public Library to learn about and identify birds within the area. The event takes place from 3-4:30 p.m. on both days.

Gimme Gimme Disco – A Dance Party Inspired by ABBA
Dance the night away at an ABBA-inspired disco dance party at Local 506. Doors open at 9 p.m., and proof of vaccination is required. 

UNC Gymnastics Season Opener
UNC Gymnastics hosts its first meet of the season against Auburn University and Bowling Green at 7 p.m. in Carmichael Arena

January Gallery Opening featuring Austin Cathey
Eno Arts Mill opens its newest art exhibit, “Not all who wander are lost,” by Carrboro-based artist Austin Cathey. His mixed-media work is on display Tuesday-Saturday, noon-5 p.m., through Jan. 29.

Saturday

Art Adventures Session: Fabric Collage
Bring the kiddos to the Ackland Art Museum on to explore the galleries and create their own piece of art with help from instructor Allison Tierney. This event is aimed at children ages 6-9. There are two sessions, one beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the other at 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is preferred. 

Health and Fitness Expo
Stop by The PITCH at 462 W. Franklin St. to learn from six different fitness providers as they provide two hours of workouts. After completion, sign up with your favorite fitness provider and find the workout plan that works best for you. Tickets are required and can be purchased for $10. 

Machine Girl Concert
The electronic duo performs at Cat’s Cradle for an unpredictable, noise-punk show. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets can be bought in advance online. 

Tommy Stinson Solo Performance
SchoolKids Records presents its first musical performance of 2022 with the former bassist and musical lieutenant to Axl Rose in Guns N’ Roses. The performance begins at 8 p.m, and refreshments will be available at the bar.

Sunday 

Women’s Basketball 
UNC takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies at 6 p.m. in Carmichael Arena
