Movies by Starlight
The Lumina Theater presents an exciting and safe new event for the whole family. Bring some blankets and chairs, and enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars. The theater encourages social distancing through designated group areas called “pods.” The classic 1984 film “The Karate Kid” screens at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and “Jurassic World” at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Each outdoor “pod” (which fits five people) costs $25.

Saturday

The Science of Banding Hummingbirds
Flying Jewels and Wildflowers in the Garden presents a virtual program where participants can learn about North Carolina’s only native hummingbird. Hosted by naturalist Susan Campbell, this Zoom webinar costs $18, and participants leave with an exceptional knowledge on North Carolina birds, wildflowers and habitats. Sign up to get a link and password to attend the program at 2 p.m.
