Twelfth Night Thursday-Saturday, 7:30pm; Saturday, Sunday, 2pm – Stop by PlayMakers Repertory Company for a performance of William Shakespeare’s beloved “Twelfth Night” with a twist. This rendition is sure to please lovers of romance, comedy and the 1950s.

Natalie Goldberg – Friday, 6-7pm  – Join writing teacher and author of the best-selling Writing Down the Bones, as she shares personal stories from The Great Spring at Flyleaf Books.

March Featured Artists Reception – Friday, 6-9pm – Join artists, Sasha Bakaric, Linwood Hart, and Peter Filene for the opening reception at FRANK Gallery.

“Eyes Wide Open” Opening Reception – Friday, 6-8pm – Raleigh based photographer, Elizabeth Galecke, presents a series of photographs called, Eyes Wide Open at The Ackland Museum.

Two Months In – Friday-Saturday, 8pm – A triangle based creative team gives you a reason to laugh about the current state of the new administration with a performance that is the first of it’s kind at The ArtsCenter.

Electric Guest – Friday, 8pm – Asa Taccone and his musical partner, Matthew Compton, introduce their electronic R&B album, “Plural” at The Cat’s Cradle.

Winter Soup Sampling – Saturday, 9am-noon – Start the day at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market sampling soups like Coconut Curry Sweet Potato and Roasted Carrot Apple.

Women in Government – Saturday, 9am-1pm – The seminar, hosted by The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham counties, will feature distinguished guests, including NC State Senator, Valerie P Foushee, and will be held at Extraordinary Ventures. Registration in advance required.

Charlie Lovett – Saturday, 11am-noon – Join former antiquarian bookseller, avid book collector, member of The Groiler club and author of The Bookman’s Tale, at McIntyre’s Books for an introduction of his newest novel, The Lost Book of the Grail.

Poetry Workshop – Saturday, 1pm – Bring a poem that’s driving you crazy and learn how to write what you really want to convey at The Orange County Public Library.

UNC Baseball – Saturday, noon – Support the Tar Heels as they play a double-header against Virginia at Boshamer Stadium.

Star Families: Time Machine in the Sky – Saturday, 3:30pm – This family friendly show at the Morehead Planetarium allows children to experience the scale of our universe and discover if you have a “birthday star” visible from North Carolina.

Benefit Concert – Saturday, 7:30pm – Enjoy a night of music at Cat’s Cradle with featured artists, Town Mountain, Caleb Caudle, Tift Merritt, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig of Mountain Man. All proceeds will benefit ACLU of North Carolina.

Gary Stroutsos – Sunday, 3pm – Join the meditative flutist and storyteller for an afternoon performance that will evoke the lands and cultures he has studied for over 35 years at The ArtsCenter.

Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas – Sunday, 7pm – Enjoy a unique Celtic traditional music performance by Scottish fiddle legend and Julliard-educated cellist at The ArtsCenter.
