Freight Train Blues Concert Series – Friday, 6:30-8:30pm – Listen to Pee Wee Hayes & Delta Blues Hogg as they kick off the first performance of the Freight Train Blues Concert Series at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market.

Movies Under the Stars – Saturday, 5:30pm – Enjoy a special showing of “Field of Dreams” following the UNC v. Duke baseball game at Boshamer Stadium

10th Annual Writers for Readers Event – Saturday, 7-9pm –Stop by the UNC Friday Center for Orange Literacy‘s discussion, led by Dr. Hodding Carter III and other panelists, about the importance of news literacy. 

Hillsborough Spring Garden Tour – Saturday, 10am-4pm and Sunday, noon-5pm – Tour gardens all over town – 12 private and 5 public – in this biennial event put on by The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough and the Hillsborough Garden Club

Cardinal Directions Beer Festival – Sunday, 12:30pm – Savor an afternoon of samples and saisons at the Carrboro Town Commons third annual beer festival.

An Introduction to the Peck Collection – Sunday, 4-5pm – Participate in a discussion led by Dr. Sheldon Peck regarding his donation of Dutch and Flemish master drawings (including several Rembrandts) to the Ackland Art Museum.
