Bring the family to the Hillsborough Main Library for a performance from Puppet Show Incorporated, as they perform “The ShoeMaker and The Elf” from 4-5pm. Activities include storytime, a puppet show and a make and take art activity for the kids. The group will also perform at Carrboro Branch Library on Saturday from 10:30-11:30am.


View the annual Holiday Tree Lighting at Carrboro Town Hall while listening to holiday songs performed by students from Carrboro Elementary and McDougle Elementary


Take part in an annual Chapel Hill tradition and enjoy the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade, beginning at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and finishing at Carrboro Town Hall. Wear your festive holiday attire as you watch Santa Claus, elves, jingle bells and more travel down Franklin Street


Don’t miss the Holiday Market at The Carolina Inn where you are sure to find something for everyone on your list. Browse the selections of more than 60 artisans while you enjoy its first-ever Holiday Market Bier Garten boasting beers from Wicked Weed Brewery, the inn’s famous mulled wine and more.
