Start your March off right with mysteries, music and more.

“Life of Galileo” by Bertolt Brecht will be showing at PlayMakers Theater through March 17.

THURSDAY:

Hillsborough’s newest arts space, King Street Bar, will be hosting Noir at the Bar, a literary event featuring eight local crime and mystery writers. Stop by to have your book signed, meet an author or just grab a drink and listen to each perform their own selections of work.

FRIDAY:

Sammy Miller and the Congregation is bringing their toe-tapping, hip-shaking, feel-good party jazz straight from New Orleans to Chapel Hill. Hosted by Carolina Performing Arts, this concert will start the weekend off with a joyful bang.

SATURDAY:

Head over to PlayMakers Theatre for the opening night of “Life of Galileo,” along with a post-show celebration. This dramatic play follows Galileo Galilei as he challenges the idea that the earth is at the center of the universe.
