Emmerie Riley and Allison Nichols-Clapper, manager and partner of Maple View Farm, share a smile on National Ice Cream Day last year. Emmerie will be managing a lemonade stand this year in honor of her three-year-old brother, who has an inoperable brain tumor, to raise money for Kids Path and Wish Fund.

Movies Under the Stars: Kicking and Screaming — Thursday, 8:30pm — Don’t let the name fool ya…you won’t be kicking and screaming during this movie screening at Wallace Parking Deck, but you may be laughing!

2nd Friday ArtWalk — Friday, 6-9pm — Let your creative juices flow while strolling the streets of Carrboro and Chapel Hill to admire art at venues all the way from the North Carolina Crafts Gallery to the Ackland Art Museum, along with live music and hands-on art demonstrations.

“Gradle Bird” Author Event — Saturday, 11am — Tortoise tagger turned novelist J.C. Sasser will be at McIntyre’s Books reppin’ her first novel about self-discovery and the consequences of guilt.

National Ice Cream Day at Maple View Farm — Sunday, 1-9pm — Bring the fam to enjoy ice cream, face painting and Napoli’s Wood Fired Pizza Truck with music from the Back Porch Orchestra for the perfect mid-summer treat! Proceeds from the event will benefit local children’s hospice funds: Sam’s Wish Fund and Kids Path.

Raekwon with Defacto Thezpjan and Shame — Sunday, 8:30pm — Since he’s released rap music that appeals to all ages, Raekwon won’t disappoint at Cat’s Cradle this weekend. There will also be an After Party in Cat’s Cradle Back Room starting at 10:30pm with DJ Johnny Storm, so don’t miss out!
