fireworks-620-x-349Party the night away at the hottest New Year’s Eve parties Chapel Hill has to offer. We’ve rounded them up for you here.

Trilogy New Year’s Eve Cocktail Soiree – The restaurant at Silverspot Cinema starts the party at 9:30pm, and includes one cocktail ticket, a champagne toast and family-style meal featuring mushroom risotto balls, almond-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, coconut-crusted shrimp, pulled pork sliders and more. $25.

Ring in the New Year at City Kitchen – Enjoy four a la carte courses starting at 9pm, and then dance the night away to live music from the Nick White Quartet. A midnight champagne toast will welcome the New Year and close out the night at City Kitchen. Reservations recommended. $65.

New Year’s Eve The Greek Way – Visit Kipos for a New Year’s celebration with entertainment including bouzouki players and belly dancers, and a special menu. Reservations recommended.

Bin 54 New Year’s Eve Dinner – If warm, cozy and sophisticated describe your ideal New Year’s Eve, check out Bin 54’s celebratory dinner, featuring special menu items as well as a la carte favorites. Bottles of 2006 Dom Perignon champagne are also offered at half price when ordered two or more days in advance.

Cat’s Cradle New Year’s Eve Party – The Carrboro venue rings in the New Year with The London Souls in the main room and Boom Unit Brass Band in the back room. $10-$15.

Silent Meditation and Celebration with Chapel Hill Zen Center – Welcome the New Year with the Chapel Hill Zen Center. Two periods of silent meditation will be held at 8pm and 8:50pm, followed by the Bodhisattva Ceremony at 9:20pm and a Fire Ceremony at 9:50pm. The Fire Ceremony allows participants to write down grievances of the past year that they would like to release. These, as well as name cards from 2016 memorial services, will be burned as a way of letting go and looking toward the future. Pot-luck refreshments and beverages will be provided at the end of the program.

Sherman & The Blazers Reunion – Friday, 7:30pm – Kick off New Year’s weekend with this tribute to Rodney Underwood at Cat’s Cradle.

Night Lights: A Family New Year’s Eve – Saturday, 2-6pm – Celebrate New Year’s Eve, family-style with this roundup of engaging programs for children and adults alike!

Live Music: Mr. Billy – Saturday, 5-8pm – Start New Year’s Eve off right, with a delicious pizza at The Roost at Fearrington Village and sweet tunes by Mr. Billy.
