26th Annual Virtual Art Tour 
There are three ways to enjoy the 26th annual event hosted by the Orange County Artists Guild – browse online galleries, enjoy virtual studio visits by appointment only or make an in-person studio visit by appointment only. Admission is free.

THURSDAY

(Re)Imagine Virtual Fundraiser 
ReCity, along with its network of 50 other organizations, hosts a fundraiser to bring awareness to social injustice and inequality in Durham from noon-1 p.m. The virtual event will share ways to help ReCity on its pursuit to educate the public on racial justice and economic disparity, especially during COVID-19. 

FRIDAY-SUNDAY

Re-Invintaged Christmas Open House Shopping Event 
Re-Invantaged, a family-owned shop in downtown Hillsborough, hosts its first-ever Christmas open house. The shop will be open Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Christmas decor items, unique handcrafted gifts and more will be available for purchase to buy at this event. Kinslea Rae, a local recording artist, will provide live music for customers to enjoy while they shop. 

FRIDAY

Military-Affiliated Grad Student Flash Talks 
Celebrate Veterans Day with UNC by honoring and recognizing Tar Heel veterans. This virtual happy hour, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., will feature two 3-5 minute ‘flash talks’ presented by Cliff Keller and Annamaria Vesley, two military-affiliated graduate students. The Zoom link can be found on UNC’s website.  

SATURDAY

Orange County Historical Museum Visit 
Book a private one-hour showing of the Orange County Historical Museum for you and five friends. Participants will get to receive a complimentary tour to see its new temporary exhibit, “Yesah: Journeys of the Occaneechi.” Masks are required. Time slots should be booked in advance. 

Stone Soup Virtual Puppet Workshop for Kids 
Register online for a speed course designed to teach the basics on putting together a puppet show using paper bag props and puppets. Puppet Show Inc. provides families with a puppet script and puppet templates to put on a show in the comfort of your own home! The course starts at 10 a.m. 

Trickle Tours
NCModernist opens a newly remodeled and unoccupied house, designed by David Arneson, to the public. Following COVID-19 guidelines, Trickle Tours offers timed admission for 4-6 people, or less, to explore 106 Carolina Ave. for a specific amount of time. Tours will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Social distancing and masks are required. Tickets are available online prior to the event. 

SUNDAY

Autumn Wildflower at Battle Park 
Nick Adams, the Battle Park manager, leads a two-hour hike around the university nature site starting at 10 a.m. The hike will cover woodland wildflowers and their value to wildlife. Registration is available online, and those attending are encouraged to bring a hiking stick. 

Meet the Artist: Michi Doan
Margaret Lane Gallery hosts a casual conversation in the gallery’s front yard with local artist Michi Doan, the featured artist in its new exhibit, “Dreamscapes.” Chat with her about art and inspiration, and see a demonstration of digital painting. Free and open to the public. Masks are required in the yard, on the porch and inside.
