Weekend at a Glance
Say goodbye to October with Halloween fun and welcome November with fall festivals and fundraisers
By Lindsay Rusczak

THURSDAY:
Take part in the third annual Orange County Feargrounds at The Barn at Lloyd’s Dairy for an unforgettable Halloween night. Walk through the Barn of Terror and ride on the inaugural haunted hayride during this fun and frightful experience. Tickets are sold on-site and grounds open at 7 p.m.
FRIDAY:
Get a bite to eat from Southern Harvest Mobile Kitchen and watch the movie, “Night at the Museum,” under the stars at The Honeysuckle’s inaugural four-day Fall Festival. Bring your family, friends and pets for activities starting at 5 p.m., and look out for more autumnal activities at this weekend-long event.
SATURDAY:
View the work of local potters, glass blowers, sculptors and more as they open their studios for the Orange County Artists Guild’s 2019 Studio Tour. Visit working artist studios, ask questions and shop for one-of-a-kind art at various studios across the county.
SUNDAY:
Join author Scott Huler for a reading and discussion of his book, “A Delicious Country,” at Rediscovering the Carolinas on the Route of John Lawson’s 1700 Expedition. Scott chronicles his journey retracing explorer John Lawson’s expedition through the Carolina backcountry, which yielded one of the significant early American travel narratives. Hosted by The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough, this free event begins at 3 p.m. at Eagle Lodge #19.
