Catch the films before they catch on! This October 3-7, Film Fest 919 will present its inaugural five-day event, with the chance to see more than 40 of the best award-winning and audience favorite films before they screen at festivals such as Cannes, Sundance and Toronto. Screenings, panels and parties will be hosted at Silverspot Cinema at University Place and throughout the Triangle area.

Carolina Performing Arts presents Berlin’s esteemed Schaubühne theater’s radically revised adaptation of An Enemy of the People, Ibsen’s potent 1882 drama about individual and social responsibility. Performed in German with English subtitles, the play tells the story of a city whose water is contaminated. Two brothers, the town’s doctor and mayor, line up on opposite sides of a war pitting money and politics against the health and safety of the town.

Enjoy multiple small plate creations, featuring locally raised pork from Hickory Nut Gap and Sharp Family Farms at The Root Cellar in Pittsboro for their 7th Annual Porkapalooza! Local beer from House of Hops, live music on the patio, cornhole and other games for all ages.

Visit W. Franklin Street to peruse amazing creations by more than 100 artists for the 46th Annual Arts Festifall, which includes live music and performances, kids activities and food trucks.
