Party on the Porch
Community Home Trust (CHT) throws a virtual party to celebrate its 30th anniversary at 7 p.m. Attendees receive wine from Chapel Hill Wine Company, cupcakes and a link to the livestream program, which includes a silent auction, live music and stories from CHT homeowners.
Author Event at Flyleaf Books
Flyleaf Books virtually hosts Dr. Katie Mack to present her book, “The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking)” with New York Times bestselling author John Scalzi at 6 p.m.
FRIDAY
An Evening with Three Dance Trailblazers
Carolina Performing Arts digitally premieres new dance pieces at 7:30 p.m. from artists Bobbi Jene Smith, Hope Boykin and Shamel Pitts, whose new work provokes discussions of vulnerability, race, gender and new parenthood.
Dinner + a Show with Popcorn Blue
Popcorn Blue Band performs at Botanist and Barrel cidery starting at 4 p.m. Enjoy renditions of popular tunes through a blend of swing, jazz and rock. Stairway to Veggin’ Food Truck will be on-site serving up vegan sandwiches, wraps, tots and more.
Live Cruise-in Concert with Moon Taxi
Orange County Speedway presents an outdoor “pod party” concert with Nashville-based band Moon Taxi at 7 p.m. Attendees sit in pods of up to six people and receive a 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep space to enjoy the show.
SATURDAY
Play on the Village Green
Pittsboro Youth Theater presents two performances of “Gooney Bird Greene And Her Fabulous Animal Parade” at 1 p.m and 3 p.m. The show is about a first grade class that creates their own fables to raise money for a closing animal shelter. Performances take place at the Southern Village Amphitheater.
Carolina Moonlight Virtual Party
North Carolina Botanical Garden celebrates the biodiversity of our region at 7 p.m. through guest speakers, signature cocktails and special performances by the UNC Walk-Ons. Garden Director Damon Waitt co-hosts the event with Derek Haynes of The Crazy Botanist.

Concerts at the Colonial series
Katharine Whalen’s Jazz Squad bring their talents to the porch of The Colonial Inn at 5 p.m. for a live performance. Guests can choose between the courtyard or balcony to watch the show.
