Visit The Carolina Inn for Fridays on the Front Porch, featuring live music and food trucks.

Casino Night and Silent Auction – Thursday, 5:30-9:30pm – Casino night is hosted by the Chapel Hill Young Professionals & the Partnership for a Sustainable Community to benefit Boomerang. The event will be held in the Blue Zone in Kenan Stadium, and all proceeds will go to Boomerang.

Fridays on the Front Porch – Friday, 5-8pm – In this installment of their weekly event, the Carolina Inn is having the Old Well Wishers perform. Come out to listen to great music and eat great food from a variety of local food trucks.

Summer Wine Social – Friday, 5:30-7:30pm – Join the team at Elements for a complimentary wine social! The event will be populated by wine distributors, there to discuss the different types of wines, and they’ll have plenty of samples. 

Ackland Art Museum’s Annual Luncheon – Friday, 11:30am – Join the Ackland Art Museum in their annual luncheon at the Carolina Inn. The event will have guest speaker Danielle Durchslag, a Brooklyn-based artist, filmmaker and educator.

Paddington 2 – Friday, 2- 3:30pm – Come to the Chapel Hill Public Library for their showing of “Paddington 2.” The movie is free, and popcorn will be provided.

5P1N0K10 – Friday, 8pm – Come out to see the remake of the hit puppet show by Jeghetto and co-written by Pierce Freelon of The Beast. This award-winning show tells the story of an android who wants to be a real “Bboy”.

Meet the Author – Saturday, 2-4pm – Meet local author, Arnie “Tokyo” Rosenthal, as he presents his new book, “Our Last Seder,” a memoir that tells his story of his family going through a life-altering tragedy. This free event will be held at the Orange County Public Library.

Ready Player One – Saturday, 8:30pm – Celebrate the summer with a showing of “Ready Player One” at the Southern Village Green.

Concert on the Green – Sunday, 6- 8pm – Take the whole family to the Southern Village Green to hear Idlewild South, an Allman Brothers tribute band. The event is free, but tips for the musicians are appreciated.
