
Bill of Rights Day Bell Ringing – Thursday, noon – The public is invited to “bring bells, ring bells” of any size and shape in Hillsborough’s historic merchant district at Cameron Park for 225 seconds (3 minutes, 45 seconds) in honor of the 225th Bill of Rights Day. Free.
Gingerbread Decorating – Thursday, 3-6pm – Get in the holiday spirit with La Vita Dolce Expresso & Gelato Cafe! A family fun event for all ages with Gingerbread Lattes, Nutella Hot Chocolates, Spiced Apple Chais and more. $3.95 for a large gingerbread cookie with icing and plenty of candy to decorate.
Meet the Author Tea – Thursday, 3:30-5pm – Come listen to William Ferris, well known professor and author, read some of his work at the monthly Author Tea Event. Enjoy tasty refreshments while Bill reads an excerpt of his new book, “The South in Color: A Visual Journal.”
Nutcracker on Ice – Friday, 6pm; Saturday, noon – Bundle up and prepare to be amazed by this 20+ year tradition involving around 100 skaters of all skill levels and ages at Orange County Sportsplex. $8-$10.
PopUp Chorus Holiday Show – Friday, 6pm – Love to sing? Drop by The ArtsCenter for the Holiday PopUp Chorus Show to see everyday community members come together and perform selections like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” and John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas (War is Over).” $10 admission; $5 student admission; kids under 12 get in free.
