The Lumina Theater (Sold Out!)
“Selma” screens at The Lumina Theater at 8 p.m. as part of a Black-center movie series month. Halona Shaw, co-owner of Breakroom Company, will moderate a discussion with UNC Law School School distinguished professor and Director of UNC Center of Civil Rights Theodore M. Shaw, the guest speaker for the evening. A large portion of proceeds benefit the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
A Kick-Off Party for the SECU Family House’s Annual Campaign
SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals hosts its annual “Making a House a Home” campaign through a family-friend socially distant drive-thru event. Guests will be asked to sit in their car as they’re greeted by music from Bunn DJ Company, ice cream from Maple View Farm and UNC mascot Rameses, who arrives at 4 p.m. All funds benefit the campaign goal of $1.1 million to help furnish SECU’s soon-to-be-completed 36-room expansion
Movies With Goats: Date Night
Spring Haven Farm hosts a family-fun, animal friendly movie night from 7:35-9:15 p.m. with farm animals. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on to enjoy fresh popcorn, snacks and drinks, which will be available at the concession stand. The film will be announced at the event.
UNC vs. Syracuse
College football returns to Kenan Memorial Stadium as the UNC Tar Heels face off against the Syracuse Orangemen at noon. Fans aren’t allowed in the stadium but watch the game on the ACC Network.
Car Races at the Orange County Speedway
In honor of Billy Purnell, this is the second car race taking place at Orange County Speedway this season. There will also be a special charger race and kids ride along. Track opens at 7 p.m.
Fun at the Park
Kids need to get out of the house? Sponsored by Point Church of Chapel Hill, Gene Strowd Community Rose Garden hosts some outdoor fun with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, crafts and more from 11 a.m.-noon.

Brunch in Chapel Hill
Carolina Brewery – Brew Pubs introduces its newly expanded brunch menu. Try a brunch taco or a baja omelet, and then wash it down with $1 mimosas or $3 bloody marys. Brunch is served from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Reservations are encouraged.
