Tie-Dye Workshop – Friday, 3:30pm-4:30pm – Make a 4th of July-themed tie-dye shirt to show off your patriotic spirit at this kid-friendly workshop at Kidzu Children’s Museum.

School of Rock Summer Showcase – Friday, 6pm – Jam out with students of School of Rock Chapel Hill, Downington and Cary at their summer showcase at Cat’s Cradle.

John Shain Concert – Friday, 6pm- Come out to Meadowmont Village to enjoy a free concert with local musician John Shain, singer-songwriter who mixes ragtime, bluegrass and swing to form his own eclectic style of music.

Tomato Day – Saturday, 8:30am- Tastes of fresh-from-the-vine ‘maters are the highlight at Carrboro Farmer’s Market’s Tomato Day. Look forward to special guests (“Epic Tomatoes” author Craig LeHoullier will be at the Carrboro market), music, games and recipes.

Outdoor Movie on the Village Green – Saturday, 8:30pm-11:30pm – Gather a picnic blanket, your family and some popcorn to watch the classic tale of “Sound of Music” at Southern Village.

Sunday at the Farm – Sunday, 4-6pm – Author of “Still & Barrel: Craft Spirits in the Old North State,” John F. Trump, will be coming to Pleasant Green Farms as the special guest of the evening. Listen as he talks about North Carolina craft distillers and their growing popularity in the area.
