Meet Blitzen! Blitzen was obviously special from day one here at Orange County Animal Services. Most cats are at least a little apprehensive about this new environment when they arrive. Not Blitzen! He was rolling around, stretching, yawning, making biscuits … you name it. He was super chill and happy from the moment he arrived! We just know his forever home is right around the corner. And we know they will feel so lucky to have this wonderful little dude as their new family member.

Orange County Animal Services is responsible for animal sheltering and animal control activities within Orange County. Its mission is to meet the needs of residents by working with volunteers and other partners to deliver cost-effective and integrated services that ensure the health, safety and well-being of humans, pets and the community as a whole. The Animal Services Center is open to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon–6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from noon–7:30 p.m.; and Saturday from noon – 5 p.m. For more information, visit orangecountync.gov/animalservices or call 919-942-PETS (7387).
