Every other week, Chapel Hill Magazine features an adoptable animal from Orange County Animal Services.

Furball and Patches are a bonded pair, who needs to find their forever home together. It’s fun watching them go about their daily routine like an older married couple: Furball makes fun of Patches for watching too many Home Shopping Network programs, and Patches can’t get Furball to put the toilet seat down! These two are very affectionate, and they will fill your life with love and entertainment. Stop by Orange County Animal Services to meet them today! As a bonus, June is Cat Adoption Month, so all felines are available for nearly half price.

The adoption fee for puppies and dogs includes the following services: spaying/neutering, deworming, vaccinations, heartworm testing and microchipping.

Orange County Animal Services is responsible for animal sheltering and animal control activities within Orange County. Its mission is to meet the needs of residents by working with volunteers and other partners to deliver cost-effective and integrated services that ensure the health, safety and well-being of humans, pets and the community as a whole. The Animal Services Center is open to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon–6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from noon–7:30 p.m.; and Saturday from noon–5 p.m. For more information, visit orangecountync.gov/animalservices or call 919-942-PETS (7387).
