Guests at The Carolina Inn can soon take home something sweet to remind them of their stay. Thanks to a partnership with Just Bee Apiary, The Inn is producing its own honey. Just last week they harvested their first batch. It’s been months in the making – back in April, the staff painted and decorated empty beehive boxes before they were installed at local beekeeper Marty Hanks’ five-acre farm in Orange County. The honey will be used in the Carolina Crossroads Restaurant and sold in the Inn’s gift shop. (We can’t wait to see what un-bee-lievable dishes chef James Clark comes up with!)
