Boro Beverage at the Carrboro Farmers' Market
Learn the ins and outs of kombucha making this weekend.

Thursday
Join Nomad, a restaurant that will feature cuisine and cooking techniques from all over the world, for a pop-up event showcasing the menu before they open this fall. The event is being held at Yonder: Southern Cocktails & Brew, who will have beer and cocktails available for purchase.

Friday
A Chapel Hill/Carrboro staple, this month’s 2nd Friday ArtWalk has something for everyone. From an open house at Community Clay Studio, to an expert panel on “Way Out West” at the Ackland Art Museum, along with artist receptions at WomanCraft, The ArtsCenter and Vecino Brewing Company, you can’t miss this monthly ode to the arts.

Saturday
Watch The Perseid Meteor Shower with the guidance from Jerry Vinski of Morehead Planetarium & Science Center. Held on the lawn at the Burwell School Historical Site in Hillsborough, the family-friendly event is free and participants will receive a copy of the August sky chart to help them identify planets, constellations and more.

Sunday
Hosted by Boro Beverage, this workshop will teach participants the ins and outs of kombucha making. There will be an in-depth look at the fermentation process, as well as a Q&A. Participants will leave ready to brew their own ‘bucha, with recipes and a SCOBY culture. And, of course, there will be samples.
