Dance into March at an afterparty or a speakeasy – this weekend is full of fun and celebrations

For a good time and good laughs join the Orange Community Players as they showcase an alternative, female version of “The Odd Couple,” a class comedy by Neil Simon at the Jerry M. Passmore Center.
FRIDAY:
The recently renamed Bakova Gallery in Hillsborough celebrates the grand opening of its speakeasy. The gallery, which is stop No. 8 on Hillsborough’s Last Friday Art Walk, will also showcase its newest art exhibits; grab a $5 Old Fashioned from 5-10pm as you peruse the new works.
SATURDAY:
VibeHouse405, the recording studio on West Franklin Street, hosts an art reception, live performances and an afterparty to celebrate the grand reopening of its newly renovated studio and art gallery.
SUNDAY:
She’s The First, a nonprofit organization that fights gender inequality, celebrates International Women’s Day early with its annual afternoon tea at The Carolina Inn. This event features a panel of guest speakers and a silent auction to support scholarships for young women in India, Guatemala and other countries.
