THURSDAY: UNC School of Law’s Faculty Speaker Series presents Professor Barbara A. Fedders as she discusses child sexuality and the law, children’s rights, youth justice, criminal defense, and the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
FRIDAY: Flutist and composer Nathalie Joachim performs her orchestral piece ‘Fanm d’Ayiti’ along with the Spektral Quartet at Moeser Auditorium in Hill Hall, celebrating Haiti’s under recognized female artists. Presented by Carolina Performing Arts.
SATURDAY: Garage rock band Tula Vera performs at The Cave, with openers Eyeball, Condado and People of Earth.
SUNDAY: The North Carolina Symphony performs Gustav Holst’s orchestral suite ‘The Planets’ at Memorial Hall.
A sing-along featuring songs from Christian, Jewish and other secular and spiritual traditions, Kehillah Synagogue presents The Harmony Project at Local 506 as a united vocal response to the October 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. This concert is a collaboration with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, University Presbyterian Church, Chapel of the Cross, Christ United Methodist Church and University United Methodist Church.
