Taste the the South at Southern Season’s Flavors of the Triangle: Acme live demonstration event. Watch Chef Kevin Callaghan whip up modernized classics like oyster stew, fried okra, crab cakes, peach cobbler and other Southern favorites. Tickets are available online for $65.  


Learn more about the intersection between ballet and diversity at Memorial Hall for Misty Copeland in Conversation. As the first-ever black woman to be named a principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, Misty will discuss her challenges, successes and hopes for the art’s future through a moderated discussion with Susan Jaffe, dean of dance for UNC School of the Arts. Tickets are $27.


Get in touch with your Southern roots by attending Bluegrass on the Lawn at Historic Moorefields in Hillsborough. Five different bluegrass groups will entertain attendees with their fiddles, guitars and banjos. Sit back on your picnic blanket and listen to vibrant tunes while enjoying local food trucks. Kids attend for free! 


Shop handmade crafts and creations from more than 30 talented local makers at the Fall Bazaar 2019 at the Carrboro Town Commons, while enjoying eats and drinks from 11 vendors including Merry Franksters, Baozi, Boricua Soul, Vecino Brewing Co. and more. There will also be music from Selector B Steady, face painting from Sparkle Body Arts, among other family-friendly activities!
