Every other week, Chapel Hill Magazine features an adoptable animal from Orange County Animal Services.
Meet Rocky. He’s a 6-year-old pit bull mix who is blind and heartworm positive. Despite having overcome some obvious obstacles, this boy is full of life, love and adventure. He is a staff and volunteer favorite, and everyone loves watching his whole face light up when he gets to go outside for walks. Because he is heartworm positive, he will need to be fostered while he goes through heartworm treatment. He will be able to live with his foster and return for his heartworm treatment later in the year. Once he has completed treatment, he will then be able to be made available for adoption, and his foster will have first dibs on adopting him! This is a great way to make sure he’s a good fit for your family, though we have a feeling this cutie will fit right in with everyone he meets.
The adoption fee for puppies and dogs includes the following services: spaying/neutering, deworming, vaccinations, heartworm testing and microchipping.
