Shannon Media Inc. – publisher and producer of Durham Magazine, Chatham Magazine, Chapel Hill Magazine and TASTE Events – announced today the appointment of Managing Partner Rory Gillis to the additional position of chief operating officer. In her new role, Rory will oversee the day-to-day operations of the multimedia company as well as its overall strategic direction. She will report to a board of directors.
Company founder Dan Shannon will be chairman of the newly formed board of directors and will work closely with Rory on long-range plans and strategic initiatives.
Shannon Media Inc. was created in 2006 and is wholly owned by Dan Shannon, Ellen Shannon (VP Planning & Development) and Rory Gillis.
