Take a trip back in time with PlayMakers Repertory Company’s Summer Youth Conservatory’s production of “Bright Star,” which is inspired by life in the South during the 1920s and 1940s.

Play trivia, make crafts and try your luck in the “Escape from the Upside Down” escape room at Kidzu’s Crafter Dark: Upside Down Edition, celebrating the new season of the Netflix series “Stranger Things.”

Work alongside gardening and plant enthusiasts to help eliminate invasive plants and seedlings at Pritchard Park as part of Chapel Hill Public Library’s Explore More, an initiative promoting environmental learning, activities and programs for all ages.

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at Maple View Farm with live music, face painting, games and, of course, ice cream. A portion of sales will benefit Sam’s Wish Fund at Kids Path of Hospice and Angels Among Us.
